WHAT IS THIS ALL FOR???
Well, it's for LEGOLAND!!!!!!!!
WHEN:
Monday, May 19, 2014
Departure Time: Possibly 7:30 a.m.
Arrival Time: Difficult to predict with traffic coming from San Diego, but roughly between 7:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
WHO GETS TO GO?
All 1st grade student go for a special low price of $8
For every three (3) students, one adult volunteer can attend for $8. Every classroom has a different number of students, so the number of chaperones will vary. Parents interested in volunteering must comply with the chaperone guidelines and will enter a raffle to attend. Parents chaperones/volunteers will attend for the same price of $8 and will be riding on the bus with students. ($8 charge for chaperones is not included in student $21 contribution). If your name is not drawn for the raffle you cold still attend for a low admission price of $21 (which is still better than the regular $65-70 admission fee), but would have to meet us at Legoland. Parents interested in traveling in their own cars must inform their child's teacher so that you have an opportunity to receive a FREE parking admission.
PARENT CHAPERONE GUIDELINES:
1. Parents must help all children, not just their own.
2. Parents must travel on the bus with students (to and from Legoland).
3. Parents may not pull their children off on their own.
4. Parents may not be on the phone during supervision.
5. Parents are responsible for bringing their own lunch on the trip. We are asking that adults do not purchase food or merchandise because of equity to all students.
BREAKDOWN OF THE MONEY RAISED:
Our goal for each student: $21
Admission: $8
Transportation: $13
*** The cost to book a bus for 12 hours is roughly about $800. We will be needing 2 buses. $800x2 buses = $1,600
HOW CAN PARENTS HELP SUPPORT THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE?:
Each classroom will take a couple of coolers and/or containers. Parents can help donate heathy snacks and drinks, such as:
1. Granola bars 2. Raisins 3. Yogurt 4. Crackers 5. Oatmeal cookies
6. Apple juice 7. Water Orange juice
